What does a matchmaker cost in Phoenix, Arizona?
Phoenix matchmakers typically charge anywhere from $1,500 to $25,000 or more for a contract, depending on whether you're working with a local boutique service, a national franchise with a Phoenix presence, or an elite personal matchmaker who searches beyond the database. Most men land somewhere in the $3,000–$10,000 range for a mid-tier package covering six to twelve curated introductions over several months.

What are you actually paying for?
The fee is not a cover charge — it's buying someone's time, judgment, and network. A matchmaker screens candidates, handles the awkward "are you interested?" logistics, and gives you feedback you won't get from a dating app. What varies wildly between price tiers is how much of that is genuinely personalized versus templated. A $1,500 package at a franchise often means you're entered into a shared database and matched algorithmically with light human review. A $15,000 engagement with a solo practitioner usually means she's making calls, attending events, and recruiting specifically for you.
What are the real tiers, and what do you get at each one?
| Tier | Typical Price Range | What's Included | Crowd / Pool | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Database matchmaking (franchise/national chain) | $1,500 – $4,000 | Access to existing member database, a profile review, limited introductions (3–6) | Broad, inconsistent vetting | Testing the waters; lower financial risk |
| Mid-tier boutique (local or regional) | $4,000 – $10,000 | More personalized intake, curated intros (6–12), date coaching, feedback loop | Better screened, smaller pool | Serious but budget-conscious; wants a human touch |
| Premium personal matchmaker | $10,000 – $25,000+ | Active headhunting beyond database, extensive vetting, lifestyle compatibility work, longer timeline | Highly selective, often recruited specifically for you | Men who have tried other routes and want real investment |
| Elite / executive tier | $25,000 – $50,000+ | Near-concierge service, national/international reach, sometimes includes image consulting | Extremely curated, may involve travel | High-net-worth individuals with very specific criteria and limited time |

Which one, when?
You're newly single and not sure matchmaking is for you. Start at the database tier. The risk is low enough that if it doesn't click, you haven't set fire to a car payment's worth of cash. Go in knowing the pool is broader and less personally curated.
You've been through the app grind and want something that actually respects your time. The mid-tier boutique is the right move. You get a real human who learns what you actually want (not just what you typed into a checkbox), and the feedback after dates is worth the extra cost alone. This is where most Wingmen members find the best value-to-experience ratio.
You're a decade post-divorce, you know yourself, your schedule is demanding, and you're ready to be serious about finding a partner. Premium personal matchmaking makes sense. You're not paying for introductions — you're paying for someone to do the hard work of finding a person who fits your actual life, not your dating-profile life.
You travel constantly, have a high public profile, or have specific criteria that a local database simply won't satisfy. The elite tier exists for a reason. Just make sure the matchmaker has a verifiable track record with clients in comparable situations.
What does NOT work in any tier?
Signing a contract because the sales consultation felt exciting. Matchmaking sales calls are polished — that's their job. Before you write a check, ask three things: How many clients are you currently working with? What percentage of your clients go on a second date with their match? Can I speak to a former client? If you get hedging, vague answers, or "proprietary privacy" deflections to every question, walk away. A good matchmaker is confident enough in their results to be straight with you.
Is there anything else that affects the price?
Yes. Add-ons cost money — date coaching, wardrobe consultation, profile photography if they also handle apps, and extended contract durations all layer onto the base fee. Get the full itemized scope before you sign. Also know that most contracts are non-refundable or partially refundable only under specific conditions. Read that section twice.
The other variable is you. Matchmakers price partly based on how "matchable" they consider a client. If your criteria are extremely narrow, if you haven't done any post-divorce work on yourself, or if you've been difficult in past engagements, some will price that risk into the contract or decline to work with you. That's not an insult — it's honest.
